    Hello, used Reddit for a while, but with the API change and shit user experience on the app I jumped ship as soon as I found out about Lemmy.

    I have some experience in workplace and tenant organizing. Im actually unemployed currently bc of said organizing, but managed to build up a good savings.

    I’ve considered myself a socialist since my late teens. Went through a lengthy anarchist phase, and still happily work with principled anarchist organizations. But I’d say over the past ten years or so of really reading Marx, Lenin, Luxemburg and even Mao my political development has sort of matured. I definitely credit Michael Parenti and even some of Zizek’s work specifically on ideology with shocking any remaining liberal sentimentality out of me.

    Anyway, happy to be a part of the community.
