Short version: Odysseus and his men entered a cave, the current occupant of the cave, the cyclops named Polyphemus, closed the cave behind them and ate two of his men. Odysseus introduced himself as “Nobody”, gave the cyclops wine, who promply fell asleep. Then Odysseus and his men drove a pole into his eye.
