Yeah, I remembered him begging Xi to be at the peace talks (probably because he knows China is an all star at diplomacy) but because China has very realistic and tangible terms for them being there to broker peace suddenly China is under Putin’s thumb. Like, I’m sorry China doesn’t want to waste time on a “peace summit” that won’t even invite the other party. They know if Russia isn’t there then there is no point.
