    So basically we are paying $70 for AAA games in order to view ads, similarly to how free to play mobile games do this business model besides the requirement of a paywall blocking access to content.

    And we all know that this ad revenue will be going to Microsoft themselves (we have seen something similar in terms of subscription fees for Xbox Live going to Microsoft solely as well) and not the actual developers of these games, making it even more corrupted.

    It would be more hilarious and sad if this were to occur on multiplayer games as well, where they require you to have a susbcription if you want to play with your friends online.
