I don’t think MAiD is a bad thing in general, I believe people deserve to choose when they die and to do it with dignity. The problem is that the issues many people are choosing to die over could easily be fixed. Housing, food, a liveable fucking wage, so easy to provide and yet the government would rather people kill themselves then ever improve conditions. What ever happened to exhausting all other options? I thought MAiD was supposed to be a last resort.
Living here has left me so conflicted: Hopeful but hopeless. Fired up but also dejected and spiritless. Just a confused mess…
