    This sounds an insane project. Instead of all this academic ‘leftist’ verbiage - we need a return to basic and commonsense slogans which connect to people and pose the question of power. Bread, land, peace etc.

    a lot of people were already skeptical at the beginning of this year, as chile has been maintaining political prisoners that really fought against the pinochet neoliberalism in the streets. i recall some critical discussions looming around the phrase, /neoliberalism was born it chile, it will die in chile/, which echoed the discussions of the revolutionary action in egypt which was crushed by sisi more recently

    At the risk of sounding too optimistic, I can’t help but wonder if these unsuccessful attempts at (modest) reform are only going to push the Chilean lower classes further leftward as their desperation worsens.
