I wanna keep up to date with events going on in the world but I’m sick and tired of the blatant queerphobia and reactionaries that seem to be in every goddamn channel, and the comments sometimes contain outright fascists

The one I had been using was DD Geopolitics but they won’t fucking stop with the reactionary queerphobia bullshit (what’s the point in even talking about queer people in a negative light when you fuckers know it breeds queerphobia? Maybe you just don’t care) and not banning their shitty commenters

For world news stuff… I cannot verify that their political lines are always 100% sound but I think it’s good to get from a variety of sources that like you said aren’t foul bigots. Hard to find excellent frequent Communist stuff on there Check out: -red.

    -News on China

    -MintPress News

-Sputnik (not really anti-imperialist per se but not western backed or awful)

    -Geopolitical Economy Report

    For strictly Russian war stuff:

    -Операция Z: Военкоры Русской Весны

    -Cyberspec news

    -Судоплатов-----

I already saw some good links in an other comment, but would like to add Red to the list. It’s a socialist news organisation that covers world news (now primary Gaza ofcourse).

Here the link, for if you’re interested: https://t.me/theredstream

It seems oddly specific that you’re asking about Telegram news channels, which is just about the tiniest subset of all the journalism that exists in the world.

Some of the news sources that I do use (telesur, CGTN, Global Times) don’t report on things throughout the day like I can get from telegram, that’s why really

If I can find good alternatives I’ll use that but I’m used to rolling updates throughout the day

It sounds like you’re using Telegram in lieu of an RSS reader, which would give you access to a massively larger pool, including teleSUR and CGTN.

I use Reeder on MacOS (~10 USD) & iOS (~5 USD), which sync with each other over iCloud.

telegram imo has a great interface, i like sending the stupidest stickers i can find to people… it’s like a better version of whatsapp and it’s neat to have chats with friends, groups, and channels
