      Yup, resilience is the reason larger chips are preferred. That said, I imagine that NASA never bothered exploring ways of using news chips because as you say they don’t really try to push the envelope anymore. China enjoys a lot of advantages now coming late into the game because they’re starting with modern tech and they can learn from what worked and what didn’t previously.

    Im surprised they’re going that small, i was under the impression since there’s no atmosphere to hemp deter it bit flips were a much bigger concern which is part of why they still use such big chips?

      I guess that’s why they’re testing them. Maybe there are some changes you can make to the hardware to mitigate the bit flipping.
