People clearly have the horrors of the capitalist society burned into their brain. Instead of lifting a finger you just overdose on copium and desperately hope that random people across the planet are just as suffering but maybe even a little worse, and let lets them sleep at night. And the irony on top is if they weren’t so desperately wishing suffering on others to put themselves at peace, it could have been more motivation to rise up and stop their own suffering in their own home and become at peace for real.
