    American Research Universities have been in a nose dive for decades. Combine that with the increasing right-wing campus hysteria and declining pay scale for STEM workers, and is it any wonder that educated professionals are leaving the country in droves?

    I really have to wonder how a repeat of this shit will play out in the American Heartland. Sending all your Best and Brightest overseas while you bang the war drum with abandon.

      Also worth noting that US has been poaching talent from around the world in order to offset having an abysmal education system which makes US particularly sensitive to the problem of brain drain.
