    It’s wild that it’s been so poorly handled that the curtains are coming down for Americans but wasn’t that already pretty much how the rest of thenworld already saw America.

    Weren’t we also the sole vote against a resolution that clean water and shelter were human rights? I thought we were pretty regularly exceptionally shitty.

      I think that’s the view increasingly more people have been arriving at, but this really is impossible to ignore or rationalize away.

      People knew what America was, but it wasn’t “canon” so to speak. There’s a big difference between what’s real and what’s publicly regarded as true. Hopefully this shift means that other countries can finally call a spade a spade when it comes to other American atrocities.
