I’m currently reading Gideon the Ninth and that’s about it. Everything is either history or organizing (though I’m reading less of that for the time being).
I started reading classic books, because if all this leftist shit is so good, maybe there’s a reason the classics are. Slaughter House 5 was great, currently reading Anna Karenina. I’m not usually one for romance but I’ve never seen so many people cite it as the best book they have ever read.
Ah nice. I do like 19th century and early 20th century literature before the 1950s.
Blindness by Saramago. Really interesting style of writing. Saramago also seemed to be quite based.
I like prose, ngl
The first Discworld book
Noice!
Ark by Stephen Baxter, boring at parts but still scratches the Seveneves itch I had
Oooo nice
Alfred Bester’s “The Stars My Destination” - absolutely crazy early Sci-Fi about bunch of madmen having a wild ride. Outrageous but fun.
Sounds great!
Btw by “wild ride” i meant more like Count of Monte Christo, but with the subtlety of drunk elephant, incredible collateral damage and probably ton of hard drugs.
Noice!
