I’m not sure if I saw it on here or on Discord but the CIA published a 2-3 minute ad following the life of a woman working for them, and it ticked all the millennial checkboxes - diagnosed with generalised anxiety disorder, daughter of immigrants (Guatemala IIRC, which the CIA coup’ed), feminist… she even literally said “I am intersectional” lol.

It’s the most blatant shit but it also makes perfect sense. The ruling ideas are the ideas of the ruling class. Now that LGBT identities are more accepted – especially in the governmental sphere where they federally legalised gay marriage – now that you can smoke weed, now that being a feminist is empowering, it’s expected that they will co-opt this language and repurpose it. It’s not that different from woke capitalism, but of course the stakes are much higher.

Did the CIA have to deal with anxiety when they waterboarded some middle-eastern folk? Asking out of concern.
