The anvil probably refers to melee weapons, insinuating that armchair generals perceive war as a fantasy game. Creative Assembly is the “Total War” franchise developer. I couldn’t find anything about the crab claws, except for a reference to a weapon in Monster Hunter(?).
The anvil could be a reference to ‘hammer and anvil’ maneuver: One force used to pin the enemy down, and another to defeat them via encirclement. Would be effective irl against police riot squads, but the Antifa kids in the mass-protests loathed any semblance of leadership and coordination… but I digress XD
I don’t get the crab claws bit, the anvil bit and “creative assembly” bit. Help, please?

Thank you

“Pincer maneuver” - a favourite of all armchair generals.
Thanks!
