I get rejecting shipments from western countries but they also rejected China’s vaccination. Why is this?
I don’t know, but if you have a low rate of spread, you don’t need vaccination for covid, since the country is pretty shutted.
I mean… Masks(well worn masks, not that shitty thing people do like fucking making their nose peep out) and distance to prevent the spread are way better than the vaccines themselves for this purpose… Still, I don’t know why would reject the vaccines.
If you’re not doing mass population vaccination - you don’t need vaccine. Since NK never really been touched by pandemic that hard they won’t need that anyways. No need to take something costly that others need in that situation.

Maybe something to do with Juche and preferring to be self-sufficient? Not sure why they would reject China’s vaccines but with the west’s it’s pretty clear why they have zero trust that there will not be something harmful given to them. Remember that during the Korean war the US used biological warfare against the DPRK. If i was the WPK i would be extremely wary of the west trying to harm my people in order to then spin it for propaganda.
it’d probably be way to expensive to try to vaccinate against a disease that is barely even there.
