Since the Syrian War I’ve heard leftists speak of Rojava, but I’ve never understood the importance or significance of it.

Well, we should maybe start by defining what it is / was.

Partially related (partially?), I’m reading the Kurds or a part of them is CIA-backed and that “anarkids are going to fall for it again”. This is in relation to Kurds attacking Iran by proxy.

So I need a bit of context about the region.

    Thank you comrade! It’s very useful for demonstrating just how much Rojava materially sabatoged the Syrian state.

    It’d be really useful if someone were to do something similar for how Türkiye sabatoged Syria’s development as well. Considering entire factories in Aleppo were dismantled and rebuilt in Türkiye, I suspect it’s comparable to Rojava’s occupation.
