      Wow that looks like shit. I thought “swabbing the deck” was a major part of what navy sailors did all day in basically every navy for as long as there have been navies.

        In other navies they do lol, but not in the US Navy. It’s an empire on the decline and their military reflects that.

              All ships of the US navy are far behind maintenance schedule but can not catch up because their leadership wants them everywhere all the time. The weapon systems are propably the best maintained part of them, but there are limits what can be done.

              Hopefully, but that’s the dry cargo ship Alan Shepard which isn’t armed with offensive weapons systems beyond four pintle mounted 50cals for repelling boarding and disposable Nulka decoy launchers.
