I don’t think I can agree, this is what Israel had been asking for from the US
Yes, but I don’t think Israel expected its air defenses to become functionally useless and for Israel military buildings and airports to be demolished. I think Israel is increasingly desperate and the US needed to step in to do something to stop Israel from doing something big out of that desperation. I think that’s why the US didn’t go in with shock and awe. It was more symbolic than anything.
