I hear sometime people call a certain movie ‘the greatest movie ever made’ but what’s the criteria?

    Hard mode is the Roger Ebert metric - did the movie do what it set out to do? IE, not judging it by your own standards, or what you wished the movie had or didn’t have, but by its own standard.
