    The US is going to eventually master hypersonics, they just have too much money and too many people working on it. They can be incompetent all they like short of actively and openly (obviously) sabotaging such projects by defense contractors in a way so obvious the Pentagon would have to take notice it’s just going to happen. The question is how good they end up being, how quickly and how expensive. Also whether that happens before or after 2026 or so when they’re a moot point because they’ve already entirely lost and fought any wars they were going to fight.

      The people they genocide now hardly have any defenses against the non hypersonic missiles so this is just a colossal waste of money. The people they claim to need hypersonics against, they will never go to war against.

      It’s like Israel using f35s, when even a cessna would do (I exaggerate for effect but the f16s should be enough)
