Looking at some comments they mentioned there’s an entire chinese wiki on MtF. Seems like parental consent is still a barrier among other things. But it’s worth mentioning that parental consent is a persistent feature of the entire Chinese society. I have heard of 27 year old international graduate students who wanted to do domestic travel in China and still needed parental signoff before they could buy the tickets, fwiw
