      Idk if it was an Existential Comics post or someone else, but it was a comment along the lines of "They don’t teach Lenin because he wrote about the theory or revolution, led a revolution, and then reflected on what he learned from the revolution that convinced me to first read Lenin when I was a soc dem.

      And that’s part of how I became an evil tankie.

        I think that’s precisely why Lenin is so feared in the west. He lucidly explains why reformism cannot produce substantive change, and he explains how to organize effectively.

          Yes. It’s also, I think, part of why they gloss over him in favor of villianizing those who came after such as Stalin and Mao. They begrudgingly give Lenin respect, but are very short about it and I rarely see anything demonizing him.
