Why are “libertarian socialists” and “council communists” so upset about the USSR crushing so-called “workers’ revolutions” like the one in Hungary? Is it because their LARP-y, Harvard-adjacent “movement” has never been powerful or organized enough to crush even a fly?
More like they being ultras completely ignore the class background of those movements and especially who stood behind and hand to hand with them. I had conversations about those and all of them were more or less along the lines “it would have established real communism this time, if only the tankies lied down and died”.

Which ought at least to tell them something about how power works in the real world, but these people have the learning ability of a bedpost.
