In the PRC there may be divided opinions about many dynasties such as the Tang, Ming, Qing etc. but considering the atrocities the Yuan enacted on the conquered citizens of the Song Dynasty, with many women choosing to kill their firstborn (not going to mention that word) as a result, they’re viewed rather negatively for obvious reasons.
Modern outer Mongolia is remains an extremely Sinophobic nation and a “global partner” of NATO and the US. Memories of the empire for them still evoke strong nationalist sentiment so many in the PRC won’t view outer Mongolia very fondly either. (The more nationalist types would view them on the same level as the imperial Japanese)
