Starting to think the motifs of the methodical deep-state puppetmaster or brilliant evil billionaire (Lex Luthor, etc) are psyops in and of themselves to convince us that these people have two braincells to rub together. Banality of evil and all that, our overlords are mostly petulant manchildren who know precisely shit about shit other than how to most cost effectively fuck people over, and somehow they’re still managing to fuck that up lol

          They’re a class.

          Not a “deep state.”

They rule by networks of power; more like a modern-day aristocracy that lives above us than a “highly organized central large group of people.”

Hell, there’s lots of infighting within the ruling-class, some of it we recognize and some of it we don’t.

You know I thought about it, they don’t actually believe this, they are just pandering to the audience of libs. This is just speaking to your target demographic.

True enough. However, the replies indicate to me that more people are starting to see through this cacophony of bullshit. I hope so, anyway.

Edit: re my ‘banality of evil’ comment, I highly recommend the movie The Big Short, about the 2008 housing crash. It gets pretty into the economic side of things and makes absolutely no effort to disguise the absolute stupidity of the people in charge of our financial institutions. It is, of course, a dramatization - however far closer to reality I think than the genius / supervillain mirages we tend to be sold. They are vile people undoubtedly, but just as stupid.
