Why should a person like this get appeals? Why do black taxpayers get to pay for the mercy granted to someone who deserves neither life nor a quick death? Appeals are for when there might be a mistake and we might be sentencing an innocent person. There’s proof beyond even beyond a reasonable doubt in this case.
I feel like a captive bolt stunner would send the message home more. If you act like a beast you’re getting declawed and slaughtered like an animal. They don’t deserve the bittersweet pleasure I bet some get from being looked upon by those they see as less than human who suffered by their hand in disdain. Too high of a chance they’ll leave this earth feeling vindicated and/or hopeful of a potential second attempt by another generation. Their last thoughts either be of an embarrassment of losing, being wrong, wasting your life, and/or getting duped by pundits so deep that those deep seeded feelings of superiority and starry-eyed visions of a dystopian hellish nightmare world you get to forge crumble instantly, or of a despair so deep they’ll either regret their actions or wish they could kill themselves instead. They’re the closest thing to a demon we have, but we are humane enough to grant you a quick death as to reduce any potential perception of barbarity while saving resources and making sure your ideology dies along with you. You as a personality will be completely obliterated from the hearts and minds of every future person for eternity but your ideology (with HEAVY restrictions) will be studied to act as a reminder and ridiculed so it can recieve the worst honor an ideology can have; not forgotten, but a footnote.
Too much cleanup. Human skulls are significantly weaker than a cow skull, you’d still get brains splattered everywhere with a device guaranteed to kill a human with a single blow, at which point you might as well use a gun. And if you’re not killing them in one blow, why not use something quicker? I also really doubt they’ll get the beast connection to any extent.
If we’re concerned about cruelty, which to be fair, as supposedly people with higher moral standing than the people sentenced to death, we should, the long drop hanging method is tried and true for being a near instantaneous execution while still not being messy.
They make non-penetrating ones and different models for different species with further specifying weight and age. One could most certainly be repurposed. However, if the risk of multiple shots required is too high, a penetrating one could be used. Alot are glue eaters true ya got me there, but with how often they use dehumanizing language and get called dogs and pigs and the most prolific nazi killer’s most famous quote is referring to them as distinctly not men I feel like enough would get it. I’m mainly for it because not only of the whole humiliation angle but also for poetry of it all. The vestiges of the bourgeoisie’s jackbooted last resorts killed by a device wielded by communists, not for an attempt at catharsis via spectacle or sadism, but for a quicker and actually humane result than the Guillotine that was marketed as the Enlightened humane execution that was quick and for all strata of society (when in reality it was still used for spectacle, used by the bourgeoisie far more than the people, and left the victim either swiftly decapitated or hacked away like a dull ax of a feudal headsman). Feels like a nice bookend but maybe that’s the writer in me talking. As long as it’s done it’s fine
