    as someone based in 'murica I would take the NHS or canada’s system over ours all day every day.

      if you’re poor in the U.S., appointments are still scheduled out so far in advance you’ll forget you even scheduled one

        That’s not quite right. In America we often don’t treat our illnesses because we can’t afford it. Waiting a long time is much better than no help at all. If you’re poor working class you’re expected to just “walk it off”.
