it was actually dangerous for the deliverer (the test was performed using a bomber)
it didn’t offer much advantages over having multiple smaller warheads in an ICBM
it was allegedly affecting local tectonics, as the testing grounds underwent several earthquakes afterwards
USSR just wasn’t that interested in nuking everyone else, it’s not USA
