I was reading some early Marx like the 1844 manuscripts and the Critique of the Hegelian Philosophy of Law. I just cannot follow along. Even with Marx breaking it down, I’m having a really hard time grasping what he’s talking about whenever he critiques Hegel. Are there any good resources for learning this stuff?

Have you tried reading Hegel directly?

Not yet, unless you count the paragraphs directly quoted by Marx.

I wonder if it might be easier than trying to understand Hegel alongside Marx’s extra critique?

Maybe. I’ll have to give that a try before reading early Marx. He seemed a lot more focused on Hegel in the early works.
