If you see around any individual interacting with others through strange antics, displaying weird or troll-like behavior, bot behavior, or similar, either on Lemmygrad or Lemmy, feel free to publish a people’s court case about them if you think they are negatively affecting the Lemmygrad community as a whole.

The usual best way to fight trolls is indifference. So if you think someone is constantly annoying, please block them, and if possible, publicly express your dissatisfaction, so that everyone is aware.

Some trolls like Wisconcom can cause a major disruption in our community, and that’s when we usually step in debating about the issue publicly. You are free to do so in People’s Court as well, it’s the place to collectively solve perceived problems within our community. You are also free to criticize the actions of the administrators,[1] under public scrutiny.

  1. criticize our actions, not our political positions. This would be perhaps more appropriate in Leftist Infighting ↩︎

I realise that I have upset you and I am sorry for that.

I did not call you a terrorist or say that you were promoting self-harm.

To briefly clarify, I said or tried to say:

    1. You had made edgy jokes about ‘personal acts of terrorism or violence’ (see ‘note’ below).
    2. These jokes were on the borderline and could be interpreted as encouraging ‘personal acts of terrorism or violence’.
    3. As a community, we should be careful not to encourage personal acts of terrorism or violence, so we must be careful about jokes on this topic.

Since I wrote my post there has been at least one other joke suggesting that terrorism is acceptable (it is not). This is the kind of thing I alluded to when I said (a) ‘we should watch out for it and be cautious’ and when I spoke about (b) encouraging comrades to support or commit such acts (it should be discouraged). I am going to make a separate post about this subject, as it has come up a few times recently.

Note: By ‘pro personal terrorism or violence against named individuals’, I do not mean ‘self harm’. I am referring to statements that: (i) threaten violence against an identifiable person; (ii) threaten violence within a defined region or area; or (iii) promote terrorism (even if this is not intended).

I agree with all what you are saying here , now let me explain it here . Not at all, comrade I am not upset at all, don’t worry I know I didn’t have to make those jokes and I am really sorry and ashamed for making them I would have to change and try another way to make my jokes and I was also told I had to try to correct my words in the English language and I know that but just so you know I am neither sad nor in a bad mood with you or any other comrade in this great community , i hope all this can be fixed with dialogue and maturity I hope that everything that is going on can be completely resolved .
