After I watched the anime, I jumped onto Elden Ring as quick as I could and “The Black Swordsman” was born. Looking up guides on how to get Blaidd’s set, the jar cannon, and of course the almighty Greatsword. Spending hours upon hours doing Ranni’s quests, being exposed to that wonderful story and setting, merely to roleplay as Guts.
The funniest thing that happened was when I got summoned to a player’s world to fight off an invader. This invader, “guts” as his name was, was a mirror image of me. We just looked at each other for maybe 5 seconds, then began crouching-uncrouching furiously and jumping around each other. Eventually I just let him kill my host while I crouched near him, and then we waved goodbye. Guts guns down innocent low-level player, Guts sits nearby Guts and coldly watches as Guts does so. One of the greatest moments I’ve ever had in a multiplayer game.
