When I turned 20 I felt like my brain was going to explode from all the pent up memories I had accumulated. Felt like everything that ever crossed my mind from birth til then was stuck with my brain in a jar I was too weak to open. Some years later and my mind learned how to forget, and my brain only feels on the verge of breaking from pretty immediate stressors. Those memories still leak through sometimes right when I’m about to fall asleep, like that time I laughed so hard I farted in my 6th grade science class, or all the awkward romantic encounters I’ve ever had hitting me like a truck.
