The quintessential gym experience.

I’m not small but I’m not huge either and when I see someone bigger than me lifting lighter weights I always get confused or something.

Like, am I doing something wrong or what’s happening here?

You’d be surprised how many people at the gym don’t actually know how to properly lift.

But yeah, it seems you’d get results with just enough persistence. I don’t want to actually accuse anyone big of using tren lol, they’ve probably been lifting for ten years or so to get to that size.

There’s also another factor, which is fatigue. You might not know how many lifts they performed prior to that one, and how they lift. Many bodybuilders use more time under tension (which might or might not promote muscle growth) and perform slower reps. This automatically means lower weights for example.

Difference in training perhaps? Training for pure strength won’t necessarily make you crazy big and just training for size doesn’t make you that strong.

Some people also appear bigger at a given weight (joint size, height, etc) and then people have a different baseline strength genetically. I’ve done quite a bit of manual labour and while I’m a decently strong guy because of it and years of lifting, there are just freaks out there that are stronger than me without specific training, shit diet and an alcohol problem at any given weight.
