I wanted to talk about this for a long time…
So Marvel fans… I’m so fucking tired of them(note I’m not talking about og Spider-Man, I’m talking about MCU exclusively): They are so annoying with their superhero movie worship, they are talking about those movies like they are the movies of all time, masterpieces with masterfully written script and galaxy brain stories, like they are Nolan films in terms of storytelling… And the thing is, these are not just idiots on the internet, even in TV channels where they talk about movies, they are literally, I’m not shitting you, putting MARVEL MOVIES and directors in the same rang with Spielberg, Francis Ford Coppola, James Cameron, George Lucas, Ridley Scott and Nolan!!!
They think that their B superhero good guy vs bad guy, good guy beats bad guy after power-up movies are in the same rangs as: GODFATHER, INDIANA JONES, JURASSIC PARK, SCHINDLER’S LIST, E.T., JAWS, STAR WARS, INDIANA JONES, TITANIC, GLADIATOR, INCEPTION, ALIEN etc… And that Marvel movies absolutely deserve to take half of top 10 box office movies(with Endgame being 1st one time) list overtaking timeless masterpieces…
I think some are at least fun, and I thought everyone knew they were kinda dumb, but kinda cool. But people honestly think the shitty movies are good. Like that last doctor strange one was fucking shitty. Absolute peak garbage.It should have been a flop, but I think big names and some half decent CGI, everyone is just like “omg its great”. Those shows were shit too. Like full on piles of shit. The Falcon and Winter Soldier was just imperialism apoligia, and extremely unimaginative when it came to the FUCKING APOCALYPSE. Loki just turned into some selfcest shit. Every one of their attempts at the multiverse has been sad and half assed (except for the spider man one, it was okay I guess.). Is it just the lenin lens?
I stopped watching after Endgame, just watched Spider Man because of Tobey Maguire. But especially Iron Man and Captain America ones are such military imperialism propaganda that it’s insane, USA this, USA that, he must fly alongside F-15, Middle East bullshit, USA flags and military is so on the nose that you can’t take it. Really sad considering Iron Man was supposed to be anti-war character…
It took you until Endgame to drop that franchise? You deserve monetary compensation from Disney.
