Yep, although tbh Khrushchev didnt want to intervene, because “muh peaceful coexistence” (which created the mess in the first place, swift intervention in the beginning would have saved many lives). It was Molotov and Mao who pushed Khrushchev into action.

Yep, it really sucks. Khrushchev fucked everything up. He caused the split with China and Albania, he destabilized Poland by removing the leader Edward Ochab and putting a khrushchevite in his place (which ultimately lead to the 1980 economic crisis and Solidarnosc) and he allowed corruption to feast inside the CPSU. Terrible leader.
