• Which flag is that? If it’s based on the current Amerikan flag, I’d say it mainly represents settler colonialism and genocide. I’d like to see a flag made by the remaining native population, though

      I meant this flag

Its based on the flag of the CPUSA, and its common to see in fictional depictions of a socialist US, I just prefer the aesthetic of it. I think its safe to say that the CPUSA isn’t really all about settler colonialism or genocide, but if I’m wrong please enlighten me.

Understandable, there are versions like that too, I just found the first off google. Overall I just feel like a more generic socialist flag could imply that the US was invaded by a foreign socialist power (Very Based), but seeing a recognizably American socialist banner flying over the capitol evokes revolutionary overthrow from within (Unfathomably based)

      • (Sorry if I came across as aggressive.) If an actual communist organization designed that, it’s probably all right. I’d prefer a flag without any elements of the Amerikan flag, but I’m not from there so my opinion is irrelevant 🙃

No I understand, the American flag is atrocious, both visually and in its meaning, literally half of it, the stripes, represent settler colonialism. Its why I think Patsocs are moronic. That’s the tricky thing when it comes to making socialist imagery for the US. Being recognizable as from the same country without taking on the evil baggage of its past.
