    Yeah, the grain deal probably isn’t coming back ever. NATO and Ukraine just can’t help themselves, they won’t be able to resist the temptation to use it as a cover to smuggle weapons and launch more attacks on Crimea or the Russian Black Sea Fleet again. Also, the West has no intention of upholding their part of the deal regarding lifting the sanctions on Russian grain and fertilizer exports. Russia was extremely patient and gave them plenty of chances and warnings to stop abusing the deal to gain unilateral advantages, but they are pathologically incapable of upholding a deal in good faith.

    There is also basically zero pressure from Russia’s global south partners on this because Russia can easily replace whatever Ukraine was exporting through the grain deal and more. So the only losers in this are Ukraine and the Europeans who thought they could screw the Russians over.
