Uh, yes, as someone who is in this demographic I can attest that dining out less due to vague concerns about the economy and inflation is a very real phenomenon that deserves further investigation.
I made 4 days worth of food (for two!) with 2 boxes of penne, some cheese, canned beans, and corn.
Like $8 of ingredients, or about $1 per serving. I’d much rather spend an hour cooking instead of spending that hour driving to chipotle, ordering, taking it home, filling up gas, and paying 10x for it.
Okay kinda barely relevant but “100 basis points” is 1% just say 1% business people are so fucking up their own business assholes it’s unreal

is it pretty pricey?
It’s roughly $10-12 per main item (burrito, burrito bowls, ect), with about $2-3 for a drink. I want to say it’s about the same value as a footlong from subway.
