I’ve been running into a lot of em lately in communist spaces, especially of the maoist variety :( Love hearing that even even Cuba is revisionist.
The upsurge in leftcoms has essentially resulted in them taking on the social role Trotskyism had in the 20th century for the political resistance to the socialist movement. They’re arguably worse, as there was at least the barest pretense of a political theory with the Trots, no matter how incoherent.
It’s really annoying in Seattle, Socialist Alternative is the biggest Socialist party. Trots everywhere.
Yeah that’s a big problem, They’re going to put a lot of people off. You and your comrades need to work tirelessly to be the first in the door with people interested in getting involved in socialist activism. What makes Trotskyism such effective poison is that they inculcate new people with anunscientific but highly emotive and superficially convincing pitch that is an easy pill to swallow for people who’ve been told their whole lives that the USSR was some kind of evil empire; “Ohhh so it’s not that communism is evil, it’s the USSR that’s evil!”
