tbh i don’t, just feels like unnecessary information.
I think part of the motivation for making them visible was to make users know the language select feature existed at all.
Then just have a pop up or have them enter the information upon registration, this feels way too verbose.
I thought they were flairs at first and was disappointed they aren’t.
There was a PR for that merged not too long ago.
Edit: I didn’t know lemmy.ml was already using the changes.
We’re testing it out before doing a release. There are some stability issues we’re working through.
