Been using ProtonVPN for a while now for when it makes sense to use a VPN (mostly torrents but for some general browsing), but just realized their very overt pro-HK stance they’ve had and continue to have despite the breakdown of the color revolution.

Just going off of privacytools.io, there are a few other recs. Any good experiences with Mullard or IVPN? Mullard’s the only one I couldn’t find with some sort of pro-HK statement, but I also realize that the vast majority of the “privacy/security” sphere aligns with the techbro libertarian freeze peach rhetoric.

So is there really any point in switching away from ProtonVPN? I mean probably not, no ethical consumption and all, and the VPN service has been solid.

I’m already using ProtonMail as well :upside-down face: not sure what to do once my subscription runs out since I will definitely not deal with the hassle of running my own email server. Email is already pretty outdated and I don’t use it for anything that really requires security, but still

Mostly for torrents honestly, not about to overload the Tor network with downloads.
