I am afraid Trump has already up most of his karma by using it to grant bad aim to his assassin(s) and Kamala has eaten a child which makes her low in the karma department aswell.

The recipient of christ’s divine blessing remains unclear.

“And whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, so that they may be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”

There’s great potential for a post-Lovecraft cosmic horror setting where everything fundies believe about Supply-Side Jesus and the vengeful creator of the universe punishing people for what they do in their bedrooms is all actually literally true. angel-biblical-shh

This is essentially the plot of Stross’ fourth Laundry Novel. What if Quiverrful Jesus was a sleeping Lovecraftian entity? What if their head megachurch pastor got a meeting with Starmer?

(Which I love because the Bazingas tech spy agency guy thinks he has the real handle on magic being a type of computing but he’s deeply wrong and his wife the philosopher has already blown past him in the power stakes. And then the ritual magicians step in.)

I didn’t understand this comment even a little bit and can’t tell if I’m having a stroke or am not nearly well ready enough to parse the narrative.

Please do not explain to me further. Sometimes it’s nice to realize there’s a whole world of thought waiting for another day.

They also kinda have this elitist knowledge hoarding thing going on which Tzeentch would probably like. Maybe America is Chaos Undivided.

There are actually people who think the god that these people worship is actually an evil being purposefully using them to destroy the world if i remember correctly but i dont remember what its called.

Do religious people not know how creepy they look doing their weirdo rituals and invoking their invisible friends?

    Super creepy

I generally try to tolerate religious differences these days, but seeing this sort of thing does remind me that pretty much the entire world is run by people who believe in the wildest shit you’ve ever heard and they’ll receive eternal reward or damnation based on their behavior, but of course THEY’RE one of the good guys.

Oh to have that kind of existential satisfaction. What a blissful way to come to peace with a horribly unjust world.

Holy shit, they’re committing harder to Blue MAGA than I thought. Are we going to get corny Kopmala gospel songs like we did with Trump?

This past year made me go from having a casual support of the iconoclastic aspects of Islam, to wanting to convert.
