I used a mix of different beans (garbanzo, kidney, broad) and leftover couscous instead of brown rice (and spices to my own taste), other than that it was more or less the same.

I can’t seem to upload the grilling pic, but I live in an old house with an old-style wood stove, so I fired it up and put a grill over it to cook the burgers. The buns are store-bought since I still can’t make a good burger bun, then there were some tomatoes, pickles, spinach and a homemade sriracha tahini sauce in there, all served with potato salad. Came out really nice, I ate three and am absolutely stuffed now.

I mean yes and no. DS1 will forever be my favorite, but I liked 2 and 3 as well, for different reasons.

I mean shit, if I was touristing and needed a treat selfie, how much cooler is getting one when Something (minor) Happened, rather than the old boring rocks that everybody has?

In my school we actually kinda did gamble with them, but very low drama so they never were banned. I liked them a lot, I was super into pokemon as a kid, despite not even having played the games.

I hated that they made it a “regular” magic type in the later games, scaled with your stats. It was a great support magic for melee builds, afterwards it just became another casting build.

I haven’t had any big mishaps myself, but I worked in a wafer fab and apparently the person who came in to replace me after I quit, dropped a whole box of wafers like a month into the job. Shit worth like $1M.

That said, massive fault on the company for a lack of better procedures handling those, and afaik the person didn’t even lose the job as it was an honest accident.

Honestly, it’s not good for much and the economy has been trash lately, the mine has been flooding and wheat doesn’t grow well here. I don’t really see it getting much better any time soon.

I was semi-active in some animal liberation circles and the amount of Zionists and “centrists” (“noo don’t cut XYZ off, they are a good activist, can’t we put politics aside???”) is disgusting. But while it has its heart in the right place opposing animal commodification, vegan activism has always been thoroughly lib, so not exactly surprising.

Made me think of Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents. It’s a cute children’s book by Pratchett where intelligent rats (accidentally enhanced by magic trash at the Unseen University) run “pied piper” scams on unsuspecting villages. I’ve loved this book for close to two decades now.

He lived with us almost all his life (we adopted him from an “accidental litter” together with his brother who passed away last summer) and has been a good comrade to all other rats he has hung out with, outliving many of them.
