Holy shit—this is the gospel in a way I’ve never considered it. Specifically:

Why would I want to abide by their cultural institutions and norms when they transparently have nothing for me and plan on being a massive pain in the ass the whole time even if I acquiesce?

Like, in the marketplace of ideas, they have absolutely no products to sell.
