    I had a friend who worked at a military contractor (he has since got out) and he can attest to the fact that they overcharged for every single line item, even replacement bolts could be $50-100+ PER BOLT. The military will sign off on absolutely anything.

    Anytime I see people post the meme bragging about how much the US spends on military like it means they have the best military, it doesn’t. They have the most wasteful military by a mile. I do not doubt that most countries, even with smaller militaries, have much more efficient spending.

      oh they’re insanely corrupt, i remember reading that during Plan Colombia (joint with the US military) the goverment was spending like $50k USD per hectare (!!!). For reference, the service of fumigation with plane in latin america is like $20 USD, add $60 more for a high dose of glyphosate, a realistic cost per hectare would be around $80 per fumigation. These guys were spending $50k!!! per fucking hectare, super crooks.
