I just got a comment deleted and my account banned from noncredibledefense@shitjustworks (or however they parse that out). It was a shitty meme fantasizing about Japan getting to do more murdering in China, in the event of a war over Taiwan. I got called a tankie and banned for questioning whether Japan had any appetite for a war with China, and that I thought S Korea would be kept out of the conflict by the threat from N Korea.

Friends, I did not glorify communism, nor did I take any position on the disposition of Taiwan. Basically my sin seems to have been pointing out the “non-credibility” of the meme.

Anyway, I just didn’t know where else to post about this (can’t even message the mod that banned me!). I know hexbears shun that whole server, so I guess I’m really finding out why.

Noncredibledefense is from Reddit and has a very particular set of bizarre brainworms that generally boil down to bootlicking NATO. As far as communities federated with .ml, it’s the worst by far. Be glad they banned you, block it and pretend it doesn’t exist, everyone on there is way too deep into whatever it is they’re into to ever listen to reason and there is no value in understanding them.

      Noncredibledefense

They’re the NATO bootlickers that were too bootlick-y for CredibleDefence, the original NATO bootlicking sub. I look forward to them turning into lemons as Western militaries take L after L in Ukraine and the Red Sea.

There was a time where “credible” defence used to hide its bootlicking behind a veneer of academic rigor. Of course, this was the type of academic rigor where a US study of Russian capabilities was considered more reliable than a Russian report on its capabilities because the Russians can’t be trusted.

Iirc correctly people got banned for completely insane bootlicking like saying that a Leopard 2could solo the entire Russian Army or whatever and those ones went to found noncredible defense to shitpost.

Of course nowadays the Leopard stan is working at NATO advising the Ukrainian MOD, so the two subs are completely indistinguishable.

Honestly, that’s what I’d like to do. I don’t need to be seeing shit so fucked up that I’m compelled to comment on it, only to find I get deleted for even mild dissent. I hid the post, I’ll have to figure out how to block the server.

Yes; the same way we Communists can sniff out Nazis with their disingenuous arguements, Nazis are able to generally sniff out Communists with their inability to completely go along with racist rhetoric. Hexbear bans Nazis because of their repugnant ideology, ShitJustWorks bans Communists because of their “repugnant ideology”.

I’m not even really a communist though? Like, don’t get me wrong I sympathize pretty hard with communists, but I’m not reading all those books (seriously). I organize mostly with anarchists because I know a bunch of cool ones around here doing cool shit. It really seems like they just did not like any interruption to their brainwashing circlejerk.

Just for the record, you were right.

A majority of respondents said the Self-Defense Forces should limit its role to rearguard support to the U.S. military in the event of an attempted Chinese invasion of Taiwan.

Twenty-seven percent said the SDF should not work with the U.S. military, and 11 percent said the SDF should use force with the U.S. military.

Voters were also asked which of the two approaches they think Japan should prioritize for its national security: deepening the relationship with China through diplomacy and the economy or strengthening defense capabilities.

Seventy percent selected “deepening the relationship with China,” far more than the 26 percent who chose “strengthening defense capabilities.”

The Japanese government has been pushing for a larger military budget at the behest of its American masters, but the Japanese people absolutely don’t want that.

Yeah and even Japanese nationalists are likely to point their guns towards South Korea rather than China.

At the same time without US interference East Asian cooperation is far more likely than not.

Noncredibledefense are cheerleaders of NATO violence, and “tankie” doesn’t have muched fixed meaning beyond having views to the left of hitler. Beyond that i couldn’t even guess what’s going on over there.
