Those who are in high school, what careers are you planning to pursue? I’m interested in hearing your choices :))
No idea, probably either paleontology or movie director
DUDE literally the careers I wanted as a kid!
You gave up on them?
More that I didn’t give up on any career lol. Problem is I can’t be a paleontologist movie director comedian who’s also an astronaut communist revolutionary.
But also I am poor and do terribly in school, not much light for me after highschool. Im in my senior year now and hopes of actually doing something seems bleak. I guess thats why I always say comedian, doesn’t really have an entrance requirement. But it seems I am all bark and no bite in my plans of the future.
WOW, that was more depressing than I thought.
I can’t speak for @CITRUS@lemmygrad.ml but for me when I was a kid I wanted to be a marine biologist for almost my entire childhood, then things changed as I realized I have severe thalassophobia and my personality vibes with other fields. I didn’t give up on it, just realized I liked other areas more.
Clinical psychology and politics! I’m starting uni in January to major in Psych and minor in Political Science. After my undergrad I’m heading to a PhD.
Currently in STEM (Gr12) and I like biology stuff and analysis, so MedTech probably
How do you get into stem? I’m currently a 11th grader and wanna go into engineering, and always heard about STEM but never knew how to get into it.
Here in the Philippines where I live, (Or at least in my province) a good amount of Senior Year High Schools provide STEM as one of their strands, alongside ABM (Business-related) and HUMSS (Social Sciences-related). However, you can only pick one strand.
I don’t know which country you live in, but I recommend you ask people you trust in your local area which schools provide STEM.
Honestly man I have no idea anymore, but I have always wanted to be a comedian.
Animation and art. Photography and film even
