I think they’ll just find a new villain of the decade and con another generation all the way to the bank.
I stopped arguing with my liberal elders about this. I kept saying that everything the government did or didn’t do under Trump is the same thing I’ve seen for decades and the same thing they’d observed for even longer. They kept saying “nah, this is different.”
Edit: I think what actually was different was a lot of libs that tried to do the right thing by isolating while covid was emerging ended up watching way too much cable news and didn’t have any exposure to non-right wing counter narratives.
