‘tx’ sounds like ‘tch’, so ‘txalaparta’ sounds like ‘chalaparta.’
The Basque independence movement is a good one, and worthy of support. I’m in no position to teach about it but it’s worth your time looking up.

Fun story, back when I studied at my local conservatory (at the Basque country), I was specializing on percussion instruments. One day we got a txalaparta, and, after showing me how to play it, my teacher suddenly held the sticks (“makilak”) like regular drumsticks and shredded an amazing solo like he was playing a drum set.
