    This article is quite strange. I remember learning in primary school that light moves slower through a medium than in a vacuum, same as everything else, so it’s very strange to see a science article articulating that yes, primary schools physics.

      Haha yeah it’s well known that you can slow light down using different mediums, the main part that’s clever is the rate of slowdown.

      The only thing to keep in mind is that the photon is not actually moving any slower, it just makes a longer way around stuff cause it is bouncing around therefore moving more, from what I could gather they made a maze for light with some properties that make the “bouncing” of the light lose less energy
